The Governance Team are responsible for embedding a responsive framework supporting all business areas to achieve our stretching goals and aspirations. We’re Accountable for managing the governance needs and providing risk guidance across many stakeholders within the business.
As a Risk & Governance Specialist you’ll be responsible for developing & managing the Operational Governance framework.
You’ll translate complex regulatory and legal requirements into simple actionable plans, creating a stable compliant foundation which supports our ambitious plans to bring the full fibre experience to our existing and new customers.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure all regulatory and compliance requirements are delivered.

How will I add value in the role?
You’ll have full accountability for the development & management of the Operational Governance framework. - Working with business leads to ensure all regulatory & compliance requirements are delivered.
You’ll work closely with the Head of Governance as well as internal functions to be an independent voice on performance and KPIs which underpin customer experience and drive operational Governance & Risk.
You’ll manage a range of stakeholders and influence across Commercial, Revenue, Operations, Product & Marketing teams - whilst the accountability for overall performance sits with you, many of the levers sit in other teams so being able to persuade and influence is key to your success. Stakeholders range from your peers to Directors across the business.
You will introduce and develop a methodical approach to Test, Learn and Deployment to inform decision making continually optimise.
You will need to think like a customer. This includes understanding TalkTalk’s positioning the market and why a customer would choose us, as well as being aware of what is going on internally and anticipating anything which might be an opportunity or a risk.
What experience do I need to be successful?
You will have proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to and create plans which are highly flexible based on numerous internal and external dependencies.
You will be an excellent communicator and storyteller, being able to translate often complicated regulatory requirements into simple Director and Exec level summaries using numbers, charts, and words.
