Founded in 2003 by Dong Hyun Kim, his mission was simple, to make fresh and flavorsome sushi and bento available to everyone. Almost 20 years later Wasabi have **41 successful branches** across London, other UK major cities and New York. The journey continued in 2019 with the launch of Wasabi Home Bento exclusively into Sainsburys. After several years of great success there, the grocery business expanded launching into **Tesco** in September 2022. Wasabi has now firmly established itself as the **No2 chilled ready meal brand** and a driver of significant market growth. And we’re just getting started. The leadership team have set out their 5 year strategy which encompasses company growth, franchise and international expansion.
Our menu is renowned for its distinctiveness, freshness and flavour. The cold food range of sushi, pokes and salads are made fresh daily in our branch kitchens and our hot bento, noodle bowls and soups offer an indulgent and comforting alternative to our broad and democratic demographic.
As we prepare for our next phase of growth and innovation, we have an incredibly exciting opportunity for a **People Administrator** to join our People Team **based in Park Royal.**
**The Role**:
**Supporting the People Team the People Administrator will work closely with business wide People Team to support in administration and data capture. They will be a first point of contact for employees giving basic procedural guidance. The Administrator will be the point of contact for all new employees to welcome them to the business and making their start with Wasabi a smooth and engaging experience.
The People Administrator will co-ordinate and produce reports and support the Reward, System & Reporting Analyst. The People Administrator will be (or will become) a lead on the People system (currently Fourth), an expert on Microsoft Excel & Word. The role will also be holiday and sickness cover for the reception, front of house
- this will require Monday
- Friday in the office for five to six weeks a year. Other weeks we operate hybrid working.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Maintain and ensure accuracy of master data within the People System with integrity.
- Support the Reward, System & Reporting Analyst in all things system and reporting.
- Work with the Reward, System & Reporting Analyst to engage and promote the employee benefits proposition.
- Support in setting a professional foundation in processes - developing a proactive, agile and service focused environment.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and simplify systems and processes
- Provide users with problem resolution to People system queries
- Own the onboarding process and be the go-to person for new starters joining Wasabi giving them a great first impression and setting them up for success in their new roles (managing administrative processes such as contracts, promotions, references and ‘everything the need to know about Wasabi’ guidance), in particular for FMSC and all salaried employees.
- Support administration activities for all parts of the employee life cycle, internal communications and engagement.
- Building strong relationships across the People Team and business.

- ‘teaching people to fish’ on systems and processes.
- Support the wider People Team in process management and administration to ensure a professional and approachable service to the business.
- Promote a fair, transparent and inclusive environment.

- Advanced excel skills (i.e. v look ups)
- Strong Microsoft word skills (i.e. mail merges)
- A proven record of great accuracy and attention to detail
- Very organised and capable of setting up logical and well thought out administrative processes
- Takes ownership of administrative tasks from concept to completion
- Works well juggling priorities
- Thrives supporting and as part of a close-knit team
- Confident and discreet in dealing with confidential information and data
- Have a solution finding, can-do approach
- Shows initiative and willingness to learn
- Strong verbal & written communication
- Is passionate about Wasabi and producing quality food
