In our HR team, we are recruiting for a Payroll and Benefits Advisor.
It is a really exciting time to join the team as we have just launched our new suite of benefits to our internal colleagues and have also launched BOP, our Benefits, Offers & Perks platform which is the one-stop shop for all colleagues to view and access their amazing benefits.
In this role, you’ll primarily focus on ensuring accurate production and auditing of the monthly payroll file - ensuring all pay queries are resolved, that pay information is correct and we all get paid the correct amounts on time
You’ll be the key liaison with our external payroll provider, SD Worx as well as for our Finance team and HMRC, ensuring that any payroll processing, reporting and system issues are escalated and / or resolved.
You’ll work with all colleagues and managers to ensure correct use of the HR Self-Serve system and ensure that it is up to date. You’ll also be the first point of contact in the team for Benefits queries - whether that be about holidays, pension, time off for life’s events or about some of our exciting salary sacrifice schemes such as bike to work, holiday purchase and, in the future, electric vehicles. You’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day administration of the group employee benefits schemes, liaising with the relevant providers and advisors, e.g. Private Medical Insurance, Pension Company, Insurance Company, Health Cash Plan, Childcare Vouchers and Employee Assistance Programme.
As this role plays a key part of the overall HR service to Interflora, you will also get to support the HR Team with the bonus process and salary review process which will include creating reports, statistics, equal opportunities monitoring, researching and benchmarking and production of letters.
**Qualifications**
In order to perform well in the role, we would expect you to have;
- A recognised payroll qualification or significant equivalent payroll experience
- Experienced managing a monthly payroll (preferably outsourced)
- A good understanding of tax, National Insurance, SSP, SMP and Salary Sacrifice arrangements
- A strong understanding of HR policies and procedures and you may even have or be working towards a HR qualification
- Significant experience of working with the administration of salary sacrifice schemes and be able to answer queries on these schemes
- Process improvement skills
- MS Excel skills
- Outstanding attention to details and accuracy.
