We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and forward-thinking Consultant Psychiatrist.
We are looking for someone with an awareness of psychological therapies to lead and develop the physical and psychiatric aspect of a well-established Community Adult Eating Disorders Service. As a service we take pride in our contribution to the development of the evidence base for eating disorders. The team have presented a wide range of workshops at the international conference over many years and have published several articles.
Our team of highly motivated colleagues are keen to influence change and culture within adult eating disorders service in Cornwall. This newly created post will offer you the opportunity to join us in its development and expansion.
We are seeking individuals who are open to new ways of working, interested in developing services for the future, or who may be looking to consider research or teaching in addition to a clinical role.
We are open to discussing relocation requirements with suitably qualified individuals.
Cornwall has embarked on its three-year transformation of its core community mental health services in line with national plans, to create an integrated and collaborative health and social care systems. We're an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We deliver community and hospital-based care to improve people's physical and mental health.We also provide specialist support to people with dementia or a learning disability.

Over 4,000 people make up the Trust. This includes doctors, nurses, therapists, plus admin and support staff.

Approximately 568,000 people live here. A third of people who live in Cornwall are supported by acute hospital services in Devon. As a result, we also work closely with our partners in Devon. In the summer, and during other holidays lots of people choose to visit the area. This increases the numbers of people who use our services.
