**The Role of Procurement Officer**
- Monday - Thursday 08:30 - 16:30
- Friday 08:30 - 15:30
- Office Environment
- Organising consumables and plant spares
- Supply management and procurement of goods and services
- Working alongside the Procurement team Leader to develop and put contracts into place
- Raising ad-hoc purchase orders
- Support the Procurement Team Leader
- Execute a wide variety of contracts as and when required
- Provide the organisation has an uninterrupted flow of goods and services
- Computer Literate - MS Office, Excel
- Expedite all high value goods and services orders to ensure timely completion
- Variety of work

**The Right Procurement Officer**

**Essential**
- Good IT skills such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel and a knowledge of procurement system essential (e.g. of web - based systems like MRO Purchasing systems)
- Able to negotiate by telephone and face to face with suppliers at tendering engineer and supplier managerial level
- Have an understanding of the contract law applicable to Procurement
- Team player willing to work with all parts of the business
- Ability to understand financial procedures for payments of contractual obligations to suppliers
- Procurement experience essential
- Available immediately
