**Accounts Assistant**
Established in 1985, Pero is a family run company that produces high quality, premium pet foods from our farm in the foothills of the Snowdonia National Park.
We have many years’ experience creating all-natural recipes of the finest quality, with eight core recipes in the Pero range, and over 100 different recipes and blends through our Signature range, which lets our customers create their own brand of dog foods.
We take a strong stance against animal cruelty, and all of our products are certified cruelty free by a number of organisations, including PETA and Uncaged.
We only use the highest quality ingredients in our foods, and have something for everyone when it comes to flavours and varieties.
We are looking for individuals who can be part of our team to grow our business and be part of our exciting plans for the future.
**Main Duties**
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for a range of Finance Administration duties including:
- Processing and generating reminder letters and monthly statements to customers.
- Investigating and resolving queries relating to non-payment of invoices.
- Handling incoming payments and reconciling the sales ledger.
- Answering the telephone and directing calls/enquiries as appropriate.
- Processing purchase invoices onto Sage Accounts.
- Reconcile supplier statements.
- Standard journal entries onto Sage Accounts.
- Generating ad-hoc financial information, customer and supplier reports.
- Perform any other tasks as necessary and as directed by the Finance Manager.
- You have eligibility to work in the UK
- Previous experience working in a finance role.
- Experience of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience of both sales and purchase ledger.
- Experienced user of Sage 50 accounts software.
- Possess excellent numeracy, literacy and communication skills.
- Friendly and approachable.
- Welsh language skills would be desirable but not essential
