**Summary**:
The Technology Lifecycle Operative (TLO) is a multifunctional role, providing assistance to various departments across the Operations Division, at various stages throughout the IT Product Lifecycle.

Working under the Technology Lifecycle Team Leaders, TLOs will learn and carry out a multitude of tasks; with the overall goal of ensuring the handing and processing of equipment is carried out in accordance with the timescales, standards and requirements of our Customers and Clients.

**Duties**:
Duties include (but not limited to):

- Sanitise data bearing hardware using data erasure software.
- Conduct minor repairs and upgrades to IT equipment (such as HDD RAM and GPU/Graphics Card replacement).
- Testing of IT Peripherals
- Testing, diagnosing and troubleshooting common IT Equipment faults.
- Installation of Operating Systems
- Management of Stock / Asset Inventory, including conducing stock takes, recording and updating stock warehouse locations, SKU creation, and storing, picking & packing of equipment pending dispatch.
- Grading of IT equipment using the company grading system.
- Data entry within company database systems - including recording of product specification, stock quantities and updating stock locations
- Sorting and dismantling of beyond economical repair equipment (WEEE)
- Destruction of data through the operation of data destruction plant machinery
- Completion and checking of collection and delivery paperwork
- General housekeeping duties to maintain a tidy work environment

- Interest in IT - to keep up to date with hardware and software developments to contribute to both continual personal development and overall knowledge of the Technology Lifecyle Team.
- Team Player - Willingness to assist others in order to meet departmental targets, and to generate solutions to departmental issues.
- Good attention to detail - ability to identify minor damage to IT Equipment.
- Communication - Ability to communicate effectively with other individuals regarding departmental issues and to report them where discovered.
- Good Organisational Skills and Time Management - Ability to manage workload effectively.
- Good Knowledge of information security and data privacy principles.
- Flexibility - Willing to help other departments throughout the business where necessary.
- Satisfactory Security Vetting Check - Due to the nature of the business, all individuals must undergo security vetting before or at the start of employment.
- This role may best suit upbeat and self-motivated individuals who enjoy working systematically.

**Desirable attributes**:

- **Experience**:_
- Previous experience of working with in a IT Operations Environment
- Previous experience of working within a warehouse environment.
- **Education/Qualification Requirements**:_
- Basic computer literacy skills & familiarity with the Office 365 suite (MS Office, Excel, etc.)
- Any IT related Qualifications
- Forklift training certificate (counterbalance or flexi truck), or willing to learn.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £21,673.00-£22,500.00 per year
