About Focus Birmingham*
Focus Birmingham is a specialist charity providing expert support, advice and information to anyone in Birmingham with sight loss. We aim to help people with sight loss and visual impairment have an independent and rewarding life.

Purpose of Role*
The volunteer will provide additional administrative support to team leaders and managers across the organisation. The roles will vry depending on the needs of Focus and may involve accessing confidential information about our service users.

*
Typical role tasks **may** include*
- To make and receive phone telephone calls from staff and external contacts, taking messages and assisting where possible.
- Filing, photocopying and filling up the photocopier and laminating.
- Making/changing appointments for service users
- Opening and franking the post.
- Meeting and greeting service users and members of the public visiting Focus Birmingham departments
- Receiving deliveries.

- Friendly telephone manner
- Willingness to follow instructions and learn from the team
- Good team player
- Dedication to making the lives of the people we support better
- Confidence to work with members of the public
- Basic knowledge of IT

Commitment level*
We are looking for someone who is available on a Friday afternoon between the hours of 1.00 to 4.00

- Focus Birmingham Training
- Any additional relevant training to enable you to undertake the role

Location*
At our main office in Harborne which is: Focus Birmingham, 48-62 Woodville Road, Harborne, B17 9AT.
