YMCA Robin Hood Group is a complex and diverse not for profit organisation supporting vulnerable adults, young people and children as well as the wider community across Nottinghamshire.
We are looking for an HR Administrator to join us on a permanent basis to join our dynamic, friendly and welcoming People & Culture team in a time of growth.

Being people-centric, you will enjoy working as part of a team and enjoy being able to provide practical HR advice and administrative support to our Managers and Directors across the organisation. You will be an outgoing and friendly person who shares in our belief that everyone should have a fair chance to discover who they are and who they can become.
On a day to day basis, you can expect your role to include:
- Providing advice to managers on staffing issues and being responsive to managers and employees with their queries.
- Pre-employment processing including DBS searches and references.
- Payroll preparation before submission deadline; entering new starters, processing changes and chasing managers for overtime approvals.
- Managing the employee journey from onboarding, maternity/paternity/sickness to exit interviews

We are also on a journey of continual improvement and we would love for you to make suggestions of how we can embrace automation through technology, improve our processes and procedures and make our service seamless. It would be ideal if you already have some HR experience but your skills and attributes are just as important to us and we will provide you with training in what is a varied role.
As a busy team, we are keen for you to be able to get stuck in and help so experience is an admin role is essential.
There is huge scope for this role to evolve and grow, we are confident you will be able to make an impact and there is opportunity for you to pick up more complex work and take your next steps in a HR career.
We have 2 key office locations, Nottingham and Newark.
We would like for you to work in either our Nottingham or Newark offices 3-4 days a week with 1-2 days hybrid working from home. Whether Nottingham or Newark is better for you, we are really flexible for where you need to be - we trust you to manage your diary to be where you need to be In order to make any travel really easy.
