We have an **exciting opportunity **at Sense for a Support Worker to join our **fantastic Day service** at our Sense Centre in **Leeds and Wakefield**. This is the perfect role for a support worker wanting **flexible day time hours** to suit your family needs.

Sense is offering you an hourly rate of **£11.75 with enhanced rates for overtime and annual pay review/rises**

The Centre is open **Monday to Sunday** **9.30am-4.30pm**. Shifts can be 9.30-3.30pm or 9.30-4.30pm. This is a **permanent contract** working **30-35 hours per week over 5 days (hours will be discussed at interview)**

**We’re looking for enthusiastic applicants who are**:

- Positive, with a can-do attitude
- Caring and empathetic
- ** Passionate about enhancing other people’s lives**:

- Basic IT Skills
- ** Have a full UK manual driving license is essential**:

- Willing to drive larger vehicles
- BSL level 1 desirable
- Willing to attend training as needed to support you in your role
- Knowledge of multi-sensory impairments / learning difficulties is beneficial
- Experience of working within the Health & Social Care sector would be desirable

**This role in Wakefield might include supporting people with**:

- Everyday tasks like cooking and cleaning
- Personal care and hygiene
- Finances
- Medication and wellbeing
- Working
- Going into the community for shopping or other trips
- Their social life and nightlife
- leisure activities of the person’s choice, for example, **gym, swimming**, attending groups, pubs, **shopping, rally’s, day trips** etc.
