**About the role**:
It's an exciting time to join our Counter Fraud team here at AXA Commercial, with significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses to transform, deliver new digital services to our customers and streamline and automate our business processes. To help us build our Change capability, accelerate the delivery of our strategic programmes and drive the adoption of unified Agile ways of working and more effective change delivery across UK&I we're looking for Counter Fraud Investigator to join our growing friendly and dedicated team on a 12 month Fixed term contract.

We're looking for positive, passionate people to help combat the criminal activities that plague the insurance industry, our successes directly contribute to our customers premiums, keeping AXA a market-leading insurance provider. Combating criminal activities in the Insurance industry, sounds awesome. This will be done through our Counter Fraud department. You'll be responsible for investigating all potentially fraudulent Motor claims from cradle to grave whilst maintaining effective and speedy investigations and demonstrating financial savings. You'll actively seek to enhance the counter-fraud capabilities of the Group to combat evolving fraud trends.

You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, either at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. **What you'll be doing**:

- Detect and prevent fraud against the Group to include suppliers, customers and third parties, acting individually or in concert as organised fraudsters.
- Manage a portfolio of suspected fraudulent claims from basic to complex, organised fraud rings and managing the same until completion (repudiation or settlement) whilst working to the low cost operating model.
- Actively participate in the strengthening of our counter-fraud capabilities through suggesting and devising new processes, procedures, initiatives, systems and training to the business. Assistance from Senior to ensure consistency.
- Ensure adherence to the CFU Fraud strategy on fraud case handling (investigation, repudiation, recoveries and sanctions process) and keep up to date with developments in this area.
- To be fully competent in handling all elements of the claim process to include personal injury, credit hire, liability, fraud and litigation.

**About you**:
**What we’re looking for**:

- Customer service and practical claims experience essential, counter fraud experience is desirable.
- Educated to A Level or equivalent standard is preferred. Progress to ACII, willingness to partake in the ACFS or Counter Fraud Investigator Apprenticeship.
- Knowledge of all pertinent legislation i.e. Fraud Act, POCA, RIPA, DPA, FoI etc.
- Competent in the use of investigation tools such as TraceIQ, Land Registry, Social media etc.
- Good understanding and knowledge of relevant case law and the impacts on fraud types with sound knowledge of the legal processes and stages of litigation.
- Negotiation skills and use of tactics in managing injury claims.
- Detailed end to end knowledge of claims process including quantum assessment and litigation procedures.
- Excellent analytical, planning and organisational skills, you'll be perceptive and have a keen attention to detail.
- PC Literate, Word, Excel & Access.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Works well under own initiative and as part of a team.
