JOB DESCRIPTION - Service Desk Administrator

Reporting to: Service Desk Team Leader

You will work alongside other members of the IT Department to provide technical support to all departments.

Training will be provided in all aspects of the role.

**Responsibilities**:

- Administration of Freshdesk software.
- Answering support calls.
- L1 support for Dell desktop systems, software and other hardware.
- Escalate issues to L2 support within a set KPI.
- Basic Quantum administration (ERP System).
- Install & setup new desktop computer systems to defined guides & standards.
- Phone system administration, provision of handsets & support.
- Basic administration of Active Directory / Office365 / Azure.
- Maintaining IT documentation.
- Liaise with internal departments as the nature of the specific task may require.
- Understand and adhere to Export Control regulations where relevant.
- Assist the IT department with all tasks as required.

**Requirements**:

- Practical knowledge of Windows 10 / 11 (additional training provided).
- Some experience of MS Window Server 2012/2016/2019 would be preferred.
- Practical knowledge of standard computer hardware.
- A strong desire to learn.
- Strong communication skills at all levels, verbal and written.
- Ability to logically fault find, analyse problems and follow documentation.
- Ability to prioritise and manage workloads.
- Good administration, organisational and time management skills.
- Professional and courteous telephone manner.
- Flexible and adaptable with ability to use own initiative.
- Self motivation and a desire to succeed in a busy environment.

Service desk operates from 7am through to 7:00pm Monday to Friday, flexibility is
required to enable cover for specific tasks.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £20,070.00-£22,195.00 per year
