**About the Role**

**Base Location**: Flexible UK & Ireland | We're proud to offer a Flexible First approach to work, and this role is no exception. We will, however need your base 'home' location to be one of our SSE offices or depots around the UK and Ireland.

**What is the Role?**

Our Head of Digital Marketing will lead all activities in digitally positioning and promoting SSE ECS (Energy Customer Solutions) across Great Britain, Ireland and Northern Ireland. In a rapidly changing environment driven by technological shifts (AI), the role forms part of the Leadership team advising on continuous improvements to support marketing effectiveness. In this role you will:

- Lead and deliver the implementation of monitoring performance to measure and improve marketing intelligence and effectiveness across the entire marketing function.
- Manage the paid media, digital content and channel teams within digital marketing; leading, motivating and supporting team members to deliver on business objectives.
- Lead out on KPI development and develop cadence to monitor and communicate performance against KPIs to stakeholders.
- Plan team budget and resourcing to deliver on KPIs and work with the leadership team to deliver on business priorities accordingly.
- Prioritise and roadmap strategic initiatives including the identification and development of performance monitoring for all marketing activity, as well as reporting and channel improvements for digital marketing.
- **What do I need?**

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- a proven background in a similar Marketing leadership role with B2B and B2C experience
- previous experience of customer segmentation and targeting of customers to key metrics, with relevant tracking for continuous improvement
- a track record of managing people, supporting them to achieve goals and building high performing teams
- the willingness and ability to work across both Great Britain, Ireland and Northern Ireland to meet team members and agencies, with some overnight stays required

**About the Digital Marketing Team**

The digital marketing team is part of a wider marketing function. The team is organised into three sub-teams; the paid media team, digital content team and digital channel team. The paid media team focuses on delivering best-in-class digital campaigns that connect with new and existing customers on the most appropriate channels and at the most relevant times using performance marketing. The digital content team leads out on the creation of content that informs and answers new and existing customers questions around energy through content on SSE websites. They also create content that supports us in being top-of-mind on energy topics for our target audiences by searching for opportunities and creating content for multiple social and web channels. The digital channel team focuses on delivering a great user experience across ECS web & app channels for our customers who engage with these channels and our colleagues who update these channels by ensuing our websites and apps are technically sound and fit for purpose.
