**Community and Events Fundraiser**

This role introduces you to the world of professional fundraising, by joining our dedicated, friendly and supportive fundraising team, you will be helping local people to raise money for our brilliant cause. You will be working towards the achievement of targetsto enable the hospice to care for and support patients and their families with life limiting illnesses in our community.
You will work with our supporters in the community to raise the profile of the charity and introduce new supporters to our work, helping them to raise income through various events, activities and platforms.

**Hours: 37.5 per week Monday to Friday (ability to work evenings and weekends when needed for events is essential).
What is the role?**
As a Community and Events Fundraiser, you are responsible for your own income and expenditure targets, you will be a key contact with all our supporters, building robust and sustainable relationships in our local community. You will provide an excellent supporterexperience by offering support and guidance to groups and individuals, organising events and activities in aid of the hospice, helping them to fully maximise their fundraising opportunities and providing an excellent level of relationship management.
As a confident and outwards facing person, you will talk to and support a wide range of individuals and groups, both face to face, via presentations as well as effectively carrying out administrative duties. You will be an ambassador for the charity, keen torecruit sign-ups, encourage full fundraising potential and galvanise further support. Community relationship building is paramount, therefore you will have demonstrable experience of forming and maintaining relationships.
