We are actively seeking a **Purchasing Assistant **to join us at our Head Office for 12 months FTC
**About You**:
Essential requirements and skills:
- Work experience as a Purchasing Assistant, Purchasing Officer or similar role
- Good understanding of procurement and supply chain procedures
- Knowledge of market research
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail
- Great organisation skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks
- Ability to work within a team and independently
- A good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Embraces change and is open to the ideas and opinions of others, as well as sharing their own
**About the Role**:
The Purchasing Assistant role is to work closely with the Procurement and wider Supply Chain teams (Assets and Product & Technical) to assist with the day-to-day activities of the department in the delivery of high levels of customer service to the wider business.
- Supporting the tender process, collating information for review by the Procurement Officers
- Maintaining purchasing info records within SAP to support accurate PO creation and reduction price queries
- Pricelist documents are updated in a timely manner in line with current agreements and available centrally for stakeholder access
- Working with Suppliers to maintain the correct documentation records
- Collating stakeholder feedback in line with SLAs to support supplier review meetings and non-conformance process
- Monitoring central inboxes to manage queries from stakeholders, passing to relevant team members where appropriate
- Supporting the supplier onboarding process, ensuring all required information is collected from prospective suppliers to facilitate a smooth & efficient process
- Creating purchase documents within SAP as required
- Administrating the R&M contracts for key assets to ensure timely action and accurate PO and work order data
- Conducting market research to support category manage
- Maintain spend reports and savings trackers
- Monitoring supplier rebates and ensuring that credits are requested and received in a timely manner
- Maintain purchasing cards and portals user information up to date
- Organising supplier review meetings with appropriate Procurement Officer
- Ensuring transport and other costs associated to asset purchases are capitalised in a timely manner
- Provide cover where required to support the wider function
