Contracts Administrator

The role of the Contracts Administrator at TruckEast is to pro-actively administer the contract portfolio for the business.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Strive to achieve environmental objectives and annual targets
- Ensure the contract pre-authorisation process and cost agreements are administered efficiently
- Filing of paperwork as required
- Complete all administrative duties to the required standard
- Ensure customer relationships remain positive and communication is completed to the required timescales
- Maximise use of manufacturer goodwill, extended warranty, and parts warranty schemes
- General duties relevant to the smooth and efficient operation of the department as determined by your Manager
Essential Health & Safety, Environmental duties and responsibilities
- Ensure health, safety and environmental regulations and safe working practices are always adhered to
- Use lighting and ventilation only when necessary. Turn off all electrical lighting and equipment when not in use, turn off computers fully and do not leave on standby
- Segregate waste at source and dispose of waste in the correct receptacles / containers, recycling wherever possible
- Ensure that all spillages are cleaned up quickly and effectively using spill kits and absorbent material supplied. Spilled material must be disposed of correctly and responsibly once contained. Use drain covers where necessary, if there is a risk of spilled materials reaching a drainage system / watercourse
- Refer to COSHH information before using a chemical / product for the first time and remain familiar with first aid and spillage information for all substances use
- Only carry out vehicle journeys when necessary. Always drive company vehicles in a fuel saving manner and car-share when possible

**Education and/or Experience**
- Experience within an automotive technical role
- Background within automotive, preferably the commercial vehicle industry
- Industry recognised qualification (desirable)
**Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Possess excellent accuracy and numeracy skills
- Ability to work within guidelines and to deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- High level of computer literacy
- Excellent organisation and analytical skills
- Good understanding of the business environment in the customer interface
- Detail-orientated
