**Job introduction**:
We're seeking an Early Years Finance Support Officer to join our team which manages and administers funding for free childcare for children from the age of nine months in Brighton & Hove.

**About the role**:
We work with around 180 childcare providers in the private, voluntary, independent and sectors and the role includes collecting and managing child and provider data, checking and administering payments to early years providers and completing funding audits.

You will also provide support and advice to childcare providers on financial aspects of the early years free entitlement. You will need to have a close attention to detail in your work.

You will need to have excellent IT skills, particularly with spreadsheets, and experience of using a web-based portal. You must have excellent communication skills and a very helpful manner, including the patience to support early years providers in using the portal and responding to queries. You must be able to work effectively and collaboratively within the team, as well as on your own initiative to produce accurate work to tight deadlines

**Additional information**:
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
