Grafton Banks Finance is working on a sole agency basis with a PE backed firm in Brighton to recruit a Finance Business Partner, initially on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract with 3 days per week in the office in Brighton, East Sussex and 2 days from home.

You will support the Head of Finance in building a business partnering function to drive strategic initiatives through the company to grow profitability. Working as the key intermediary between the UK based finance team and the operational functions, both at Head Office and overseas.

This is a commercial based role working alongside the operations team and key stakeholders providing insight and analysis into the ongoing performance of the business and driving forward improvements. Given the focus of this role, it is best suited to an individual with a commercial mindset, collaborative approach to problem solving and a desire to challenge the status quo.

Key responsibilities include:

- Driving strategic and operational change and improvements.

Support teams in driving improved and timely reporting and insight on key cost areas.

Tracking these cost areas against financial objectives and building a feedback loop.

Major areas of focus initially will be;
- Headcount and associated cost reporting, monitoring and forecasting
- Income analysis, trend identification and associated resourcing
- Other key cost assessment

Updating Key Performance Indicators and other business intelligence.

Support operations in assessing business cases and investment opportunities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with 5-10 years PQE as a Finance Business Partner, evidence of advanced data analysis and monthly performance reporting, living in/near Brighton.
