We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic person to join our team and support workforce development across our Community Mental Health services in Oxleas.

As Recruitment & Retention Resourcing Officer you will ensure we are best positioned to attract and retain an appropriately skilled workforce for Community mental health teams across Bromley, Bexley & Greenwich. You will be responsible for leading workforce development activities, supporting attraction to our roles in innovative ways, developing quality induction processes across the Directorate and supporting managers to ensure staff members have the necessary support to succeed in their role.

As the recruitment specialist for Community mental health, you will be responsible for producing bespoke resourcing plans and focus on creative attraction campaigns to recruit substantive members of staff with fairness, openness and transparency in approach.

You will review KPI and workforce data to support the service areas in producing workforce plans that identify the vacancy level, turnover rates and potential risks in resources, with a focus on succession planning and support with the creation of an attraction strategy for those hard to fill areas.

This role will focus on promoting Community mental health as a career option for healthcare professionals and raising Oxleas brand awareness within the local healthcare economy by building stronger links with universities and higher education bodies.

The role is key in supporting Managers to retain current staff and build a pipeline of future applicants, increasing awareness of the career opportunities we have on offer, particularly for clinically qualified professionals, within our teams.

Oxleas offers a wide range of NHS healthcare services to people in community and secure environment settings. Our services include community health care such as district nursing and speech and language therapy, care for people with learning disabilities and mental health care such as psychiatry, nursing and therapies. Our multidisciplinary teams look after people of all ages and we work in close partnership with other parts of the NHS, local councils and the voluntary sector and through our new provider collaboratives. Our 4,300 members of staff work in many different settings including hospitals, clinics, prisons, secure hospitals, children’s centres, schools and people’s homes.

We have over 125 sites in a variety of locations in the South of England. In London we operate within the Boroughs of Bexley, Bromley Greenwich and into Kent. We manage hospital sites including Queen Mary’s Hospital, Sidcup and Memorial Hospital, Woolwich, as well as the Bracton Centre, our medium secure unit for people with mental health needs. Key Task and Responsibilities

Liaise with Nurse Education, Universities and higher education bodies to promote community mental health as an option for newly qualified professionals.

Build Oxleas brand awareness in the local healthcare economy to support recruitment to our roles.

Attend relevant open days, job fairs or similar.

Analyse and review monthly workforce data to identify vacancy levels, turnover rates and potential risks in resources by profession and team

Provide an overview of key data and risks to the Directorate workforce committee

Develop, monitor and evaluate Directorate recruitment plans

Ensure managers develop creative and effective recruitment practices and skills:
Provide advice to recruiting managers who are seeking resourcing solutions for their services, assessing the cost, governance aspects and service implications of any solutions offered.

Develop recruiting managers’ knowledge and expertise in areas such as temporary workforce supply, apprenticeship recruitment, new ways of working and new career pathways.

Deliver inhouse training for all managers involved in recruitment.

**Supporting Retention**:
To meet regularly with the Service line leadsto review their resourcing requirements and share experiences of current inductees and probationers with the view to replicate success and review challenges.

To provide guidance and support to managers on development of current staff, utilising data captured in feedback forums, surveys etc.

Seek out and promote initiatives that promote wellbeing and engagement.

Support career progression within Community mental health and work with the Heads of Profession and the People Directorate to develop a clear map of career pathways and identification of stepping stones so that staff are clear about the options avai
