**ABOUT US**

Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers is a family-owned Independent Bottling and Distilling business. It all began during the 19th century when we started out as grocers. Since then, there has been over five generations of the Morrison family involved in the whisky business including grocers, brokers, blenders, bottlers and distillers, making them one of Scotland’s oldest whisky families. We are based in Aberargie, on the outskirts of Perth, Scotland, just on the edge of the Lowlands whisky region border, on our 300-acre barley farm. In 2017, we began distilling Aberargie Single Malt Whisky, but it will be some years before its first release. In the meantime, we are known to be a trusted Independent Bottler with an exciting portfolio of whisky brands. We are a family here at Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers. Although we may not all be blood relations, everyone in our team has the same values which lie at the core of the Morrison family: Integrity, Patience and Intuition.

**ABOUT THE JOB**

We are a relatively new but fast-growing whisky operation, looking for a someone to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success. The distillery currently works 9 shifts over 5 days and you will be required to work in the distillery for 50% of your time. The rest of your time will be working in our busy whisky operations facility, covering all aspects of whisky production, from maturation warehousing to bottling the finished products.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

- Distillery operations including:

- Mashing - Processing Grist to produce high quality wort for fermentation.
- Controlling and monitoring the fermentation process to produce fully fermented wash.
- Evaluating new malt distillate quality.
- Transferring new make distillate to warehouse vats.
- Recording accurate spirit accounts for each shift.
- Intake and storage of casks - empty and full
- Cask preparation and filling
- Preparation of spirit
- Sampling and regauging of casks
- Bottling line operations
- Use the stock system to enter and retrieve information

Team spirit and a collaborative approach are essential, as you will be expected to work closely with all members of the production team to ensure that we complete our work to the highest standards and our operations are always carried out safely and efficiently.

Your curiosity and a willingness to learn will be crucial to developing your capability to work independently and use your initiative for specific tasks.
