**Job Purpose**

The Membership Administrator will be the first line of contact for membership matters and will be responsible for dealing with membership enquiries, carrying out administrative tasks related to the membership life cycle, supporting membership services and the wider membership team. You will also provide operational support including committee governance and other projects within the team.

You will work closely with:

- Membership team (Membership Services Manager, Member Engagement Manager and Head of membership)
- Events, Education, Marketing and Communications and Journals team

**Main Responsibilities**

**Membership**
- Support with monthly renewals.
- Ensure appropriate action is taken when a member cancels their membership.
- Make sure members have access to benefits including _Rheumatology_ subscriptions and mentoring scheme.
- Resolve website log-in issues.
- Ensure bounce-backs and opt-outs are recorded on the CRM and members are contacted for updated contact details.
- Process data from membership campaigns.
- Support and run processes devised to keep core data clean

**Wider membership team support**
- Provide full administrative support for the membership function including website updates.
- Provide support with committee papers and general committee governance.
- Support delivery of annual member engagement activities, including elections and AGM.
- Organise, support and book meetings for the team where required, including committee meetings.
- Support the delivery of the new CRM and carry out general testing when needed.

Please note: This role may require travel, overnight stays and weekend working, for example at our conferences. As we are a small team, you’ll have the opportunity to get involved in cross-departmental projects and support with specific tasks to support wider business needs. There are also other opportunities to get involved including the Staff Forum.

**Person Specification**

**Essential knowledge, skills and experience**
- Enthusiasm about all things membership and CRM, self-motivated and ready to get stuck in.
- Ability to work efficiently on a variety of digital platforms and learn new software packages quickly.
- Good time and project co-ordination skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Maintain a professional and personable attitude when communicating with colleagues, members and other stakeholders.
- Proven experience in membership administration.
- Experience of driving excellent customer service and using Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRM).
- Strong attention to detail when working with large data sets.
