Sales Administrator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Administrator to join our clients well established, family run business within the Contract Sales Office.
The role will involve the following:
- Providing excellent customer service, identifying customers needs and ensuring those needs are fulfilled
- Dealing with customers in a courteous, professional and knowledgeable way
- Establishing mutual working relationships with both customers and suppliers
- Providing internal administrative support to Area Sales Manager/s
- Preparation and follow-up of customer quotes
- Dealing/resolving customers queries and complaints
- Carry out any reasonable duty as requested by a Manager
- The ability to recognise potential problems/issues before they occur - from both suppliers & customers
- Awareness and adhering to all Company procedures/requirements
Skills / Experience required:
- Previous experience in a similar role (Heavyside Builders Merchants preferred)
- Excellent negotiation and selling skills
- Maintaining and developing existing and new customer relationships
- Competent user of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to communicate, clearly & concisely (verbal and written)
- Able to organise and prioritise workload
- Create close working relationships with customers at all management levels
- Keen to learn and take on new tasks
- Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
- Good product knowledge - continually updated
- To be forward thinking to better manage both customer and supplier requirements and avoid problems
Guaranteed weekly hours, Monday-Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm (1/2 hour lunch), and every alternate Saturday 9.00am to 12.00 midday (Trade Counter duty)
