**Open ended, full-time, 35 hours per week**
The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Year Administrator to provide effective administrative support for the Veterinary Teaching Organisation specifically the administration and support for BVM&S undergraduate programmes, teaching and assessment. To provide support to undergraduate students, academic staff, personal tutors and the school community.
**The Opportunity**:
The post holder is assigned responsibility for one year of the undergraduate programme and provides a full and high quality service to staff and students. All members of the team provide cover for each other to ensure adequate service across the teaching organisation when other members of the team are on leave or to maintain adequate services at peak times.
**Your skills and attributes for success**:
- Flexible, approachable and helpful with strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills
- A high standard of written and verbal communication.
- Highly developed IT skills (especially excel) including ability to interact with electronic systems underpinning the BVM&S programme (this may include LEARN, Speedwell and APT/EUCLID).
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- An understanding of confidentiality and an ability to practise it
- Ability to function as part of a team with minimum supervision
- Ability to exercise initiative appropriately and to take decisions while working within an agreed framework
