**Overview**
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the compliance, financial dynamics and business strategy of the entire Reed group and to have an impact on these.
The Reed Group’s activities include the provision of specialist recruitment solutions, digital recruitment and learning, and, in partnership with local authorities and the government, the delivery of programmes that positively transform people and theircommunities.
The successful applicant will help to ensure the group maintains its low tax risk profile through high standards of governance and the timely and accurate delivery of tax obligations.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintain and develop the group’s tax risk strategy, management, and documentation to ensure a low risk measure is retained.
- Provide support to the management of the group’s tax returns, oversight of evolving tax issues and guidance and preparation of year end tax notes.
- Tax regimes overseen by the Tax Team include corporate, employment and VAT. Other tax responsibilities include large business regimes such as SAO, CbCR and transfer pricing.
- Liaison with key internal stakeholders and external parties including professional advisors, auditors and HMRC, to provide tax advice on proposed and continuing activities.
- Assist with wider group responsibilities overseen by the team and additional duties as required to ensure effective performance of the team.
**Skills and Experience**
- Relevant qualification such as CTA or demonstrable equivalent work experience
- Experience of working either in tax practice or providing in house tax advice.
- Knowledge of tax legislation/guidance, tax systems and processes, financial accounting.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective relationships.
- Analysis and problem solving skills with superb attention to detail.
