You will be based in a wonderful service that specialises in the care of adults with severe learning difficulties, including associated challenging behaviours.
**What are the requirements of the Support Worker, Ludlow role?**
Our client seeks enthusiastic care staff to support their residents within the home and out in the community. Duties will include;
- supporting at meal times,
- teaching life skills,
- planning and carrying out activities as well as supporting with personal care.
This is a rewarding role which offers a chance to enrich the lives of vulnerable adults
**What experience is required for the role of Support Worker, Ludlow?.**
**Applicants with no relevant, previous experience will be considered as full training is provided.**
As long as you have good values and a natural respect for the dignity and individuality of our client's residents
**Essential Criteria**
- Ability to work 2 on 4 off rota
- 2 on 4 off rota pattern - 07:15am to 9:45pm
- Kind and caring nature
You must be at least 18 years of age and have the following:
- The ability to work under pressure in challenging circumstances
- An ability to identify and undertake any training necessary to develop within the role
- Basic ICT skills
**Desired Criteria**
- Previous experience within a residential setting.
- Experience of severe learning difficulties and/or challenging behaviour.
- Experience in the personal care and hygiene of another person.
**Education & Qualifications (Desired)**
- NVQ2 in Care or equivalent
- Care certificate
- Basic ICT skills
