Highly Specialist Clinical psychologist working within our neurodevelopmental disorders pathway and learning disability pathway within Oldham Child and adolescent Mental Health Team (CAMHS) based at the Royal Oldham Hospital

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Oldham CAMHS as a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist working with children who have Learning Disabilities and or neuro developmental disorders
The post holder will be part of a team delivering high quality clinical psychology services to children and young people with mental health issues, Learning Disabilities and complex special needs across all sectors of care.
The team has strong links with stakeholders including local schools and the Oldham Community Childrens Learning Disability Team and the post holder will continue to develop and maintain these systemic relationships.

Oldham CAMHS service is a multi-disciplinary team based in Oldham providing a mental health service to children, young people and their families.
**Role Summary**:
The post holder will be part of a team delivering high quality specialist clinical psychology service to children with learning disabilities/Neurodevelopmental disorders and their families. There is a strong emphasis on systemic working with stakeholders and partner agencies. Duties of the post will include direct clinical work involving assessment and interventions for children and young people, and also indirect work involving the supervision and support of staff both within and outside of the CAMHS service who are children with disabilities. Supervision of colleagues and consultation to external agencies such as schools is an important aspect of the role.
**Key Responsibilities of the Post**:
To provide a high quality clinical psychology service to children and young people with mental health issues, Learning Disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders and complex needs across all sectors of care.
To provide specialist clinical psychology input to children, young people with Learning Disabilities/neurodevelopmental disorders and their families, referred into Oldham Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, becoming an integral part of the service.
To contribute to the development of the specialist Learning Disabilities/neurodevelopmental service part of CAMHS.
To provide a specialist psychological assessment and treatment service of which includes Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), CBT, family therapy and other psychological treatment modalities as appropriate.
To combine direct work with offering consultation and advice on the psychological care of children, young people with Learning Disabilities/neurodevelopmental disorders and their families to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non-professional carers.
