Birmingham, United Kingdom Specialist Academic Support Full time

**Specialist Academic Support is recruiting for One-to-One Specialist Mentors to support students with disabilities and mental health conditions studying in Birmingham.**

You will be working with students to provide strategies develop their skills in the management of the impact of the condition or impairment on their academic experience. To manage anxiety, to develop concentration skills, time management skills, to prioritise workloads and create schedules of work-life balance. This also includes skills in acquiring, recalling, and retaining information in written and spoken language, and strategies to develop memory, organisation, attention and numeracy skills.

Pay: £32-£35 ph.

**Applicants must have**:
A degree

**AND one of the following**:

- Membership of a relevant professional body such as BACP, NCPS, HCPC, BPS, UKCP, COSCA, UMHAN, NMC. This is not an exhaustive list, please contact us if you have any questions about relevant membership.
- A relevant postgraduate qualification
- Professional experience supporting individuals with disabilities

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £32-35 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 25 per week

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (required)

Licence/Certification:

- BACP/BPS/HCPC/NCPS/NMC/UKCP/UMHAN/other relevant membership (preferred)

Work Location: In person/Remote

**Job Type**: Part-time
