Anglebury Court in Wareham is a care home providing accommodation for 32 residents some of whom may have dementia.

At Care Dorset we strive to celebrate our residents' lives. This role is extremely rewarding, part of your time will be spent getting to know our residents and families in order to tailor activities programmes and maximise their wellbeing, independence and social engagement.

Our aim is to ensure our residents are living well and you will play a vital role in motivating residents to take part in activities balancing risk with choice.

You will engage with residents individually and collectively in planning and implementing a calendar of meaningful social and recreational activities, events and outings both inside and outside of the care home.

**About you**

You are creative, resourceful, fun, flexible and engaging. You relate well to individuals from all walks of life. You are able to work independently or, as a team member. Observant, able to evaluate and record the impact of activities provided.

You will ideally have demonstrable experience of researching, planning and organising activities. Experience of providing direct personal and social care would be a distinct advantage.

Above all, you are passionate about person-centred care.

**Work pattern**

16 hours per week and would involve an element of weekend working. A degree of flexibility required as an activity may take place early evening or, on the weekend.
