Techniche Global is supporting an engineering defense company in appointing an Apprenticeship Coach for the Training and Apprenticeship Services contract with the MOD for the Airforce in Bovington, in Wareham, Dorset

As the Apprenticeship Coach you ll have a role that s out of the ordinary. You ll contribute towards the achievement of apprenticeship program targets through the delivering, assessing and/or monitoring Standards. You ll also monitor learners through their training program in the Field Army.

Key Responsibilities:
Day to day, you ll carry out reviews with learners, complete all paperwork for the apprenticeship process and act as a mentor for learners giving them guidance when required.
  • Assess Learner work and other activities and feedback on progress towards completion of all relevant paperwork for the induction process as laid down by company policy and procedures and delivery profiles, ensuring that details are passed on to administration and the relevant company offices as learners are posted
  • Delivery of training for underpinning knowledge to support Learners successful completion of units towards their Apprenticeship Programme
  • Carry out training/coaching reviews with learners at intervals in accordance with ESFA and Company guidelines
  • Complete all relevant paperwork for the apprenticeship process as laid down by company policy and procedures, ensuring that details are passed on to administration and the relevant company offices as learners are posted.

Essential experience of the Apprenticeship Coach
  • Considerable Engineering Maintenance experience
  • Experience in the support and delivery of Apprenticeship Programmes, including but not limited to:
    • Assessment of Learners
    • Lesson Planning & Preparation
    • Delivery of Training to Learners, if required
    • Identifying and implementing training solutions
    • Good understanding of Equality & Diversity
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent admin and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to communicate and liaise effectively with Military Service individuals at all levels; soldiers, as well as senior army offices (Majors, Colonels etc.)
  • Military sector experience preferred
Qualifications for the Apprenticeship Coach
  • Engineering Maintenance qualification level 2
  • Minimum of GCSE Maths and English at grade C, or equivalent
  • An Assessor qualification is desirable, however if you can demonstrate the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we will provide the necessary training.

Due to the nature of the business, a successful candidate will need to obtain SC (Security Clearance) check.
