Due to increased demand and volume of events from new client wins, Successful Events are looking for a full time Events Co-ordinator to support the continued growth, work within our busy events team in delivering a demanding, diverse and well-respected program of events each year on behalf of multiple corporate clients, you will be one of the key people supporting the events team based at our head office in Leeds.

**The Role**

Day to day you will be supporting our clients with their venue finding needs; understanding the various briefs, the types of venues which suit our clients' needs and objectives and then proposing a shortlist of venues to the client which satisfy their goals. You will be the main client contact for new and existing event enquiries which will require you to prepare proposals, collate responses and review costings leading onto sending confirmations, requesting and checking contracts are correct, coordinate client site inspections and much more

On occasion, as part of the role, you will be asked to participate in Sales Blitz Days and other proactive activity to generate new business for the company. There will also be opportunities to attend FAM trips and other industry events representing Successful Events which will increase your own personal network and knowledge.

**About You**

The right person will come from a hotel sales office background or another venue finding business background.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Assisting in event program development, managing production and delivery/organisation of events.
- Acting as the clients trusted advisor providing feedback on venues proposed based on own knowledge and experience
- Maintain regular, effective and appropriate liaison with clients at all times
- Look at solutions to save clients money, add value and up sell other event services that we offer, drive business into hotels and venues with whom we have preferred partnerships in place.
- Delivering events on time i.e. working to deadlines, within budget and to brief.
- Setting, communicating and maintaining timelines and priorities on all managed events.
- Producing detailed event-related briefs (staff, speaker, sponsor) and ensuring timely and relevant internal communications.
- Managing supplier relationships and identifying potential new suppliers as appropriate.
- Travelling to site inspections and project managing events if required.
- Identifying new ways to continually improve our events offering and delivery.
- Ensuring excellent customer service and delivery quality.
- Call clients pre event to make sure everything is alright and follow up after the event for feedback but also obtain next years event booking
- Develop and manage client relationships ensuring opportunities are maximized.
- Answering the telephone and offer day to day office support.
- Venue find and liaise with suppliers and manage contracts.
- Attend industry, networking and exhibition events on behalf of the company. Opportunities to attend FAM / Educational Trips in own time.

**Skills, Qualifications & Experience.**
- Must be passionate about delivering amazing events with attention to detail in admin jobs and ready to learn.
- Quick learner able to hit the ground running from day one.
- Excellent planning and time management - ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrate strong communication (verbal and written English) and excellent customer service skills.
- Strong negotiation and good accurate numeracy skills
- Flexibility in working hours to meet the needs of the events (out of ‘normal’ working hours will be required).
- Experience in converting meetings and events revenue.
- Fantastic customer service ethic, high quality standards and excellent attention to detail.
- Team player but also have the ability to work independently use your initiative and prioritise whilst working on multiple events.
- Willingness / ability to travel (UK). Clean UK driving licence.
