Cherry Professional are delighted to working with a client based in Derby that are seeking to appoint a **Payroll Administrator** on a temporary to permanent contract. This role will report into the **Payroll Manager** with fantastic opportunities to increase your knowledge and skills.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Process and manage payroll for a diverse team of employees, ensuring accurate and timely distribution of salaries, bonuses, and benefits.
- Maintain employee records, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
- Calculate and process statutory deductions, taxes, and contributions accurately.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve any discrepancies and provide payroll-related information.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and analyses of **payroll**-related data as needed.
- Stay informed about changes in payroll regulations and compliance to ensure accurate processing.
- Assist with payroll audits and respond to inquiries from employees regarding their compensation.

**Skills**:

- Previous experience in **payroll administration** or related financial role.
- Strong proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel.
- Solid understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with different departments and employees.
- Strong organisational skills to manage deadlines and multiple tasks.

**Benefits**:

- Initial 3 month temporary contract moving to a permanent role
- £22,000 per annum salary
