Transport Supervisor

We are looking for a Transport Supervisor to join our team at Wincanton. We offer a 4PL solution to most of our clients rather than running our own fleet. Customer service will be at the heart of this role, creating a better every day

**Day to Day**
- Assist in the day to day running of the transport operation by completing all administrative and legislative tasks
- Liaise with other departments to ensure all delayed departures/deliveries are clearly communicated to the relevant area
- Dispatching home delivery technician teams and conducting de-briefs on their return to site ensuring all key accountabilities and processes are audited
- Ensure operational security requirements are adhered to i.e. vehicle keys, phones, fuel cards, EPOD’s
- Collation and input of statistical information for reporting purposes
- Engage directly with customers to provide updates in relation to their delivery, and resolve queries
- Assist management team with vehicle defects through VOR process
- Active involvement in recruitment and training of new employees and coaching of existing employees Manage sickness and absence processes and conduct return to work meetings
