Our agency is large enough to offer competitive wages and benefits, a variety of employment opportunities and training options but small enough that the individual employee can be involved in multiple programs and service streams.
- Have a degree or diploma in human services _from_ an accredited college or university (or completed first year).
- Prior employment or volunteer experience with people with disabilities
- Effective in working collaboratively within a team and independently with mínimal direction as circumstances dictate
- Effective communication skills - verbal and written with all (service providers, family members, clients, colleagues, management etc.)
- Ability to accept, and provide feedback to others
- Proven experience in effective problem solving skills
- Effective time management/prioritization/organization skills
- Availability to _work_ weekends, evenings and overnight shifts (some positions may require _work_ on some stat holidays)
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, which may include personal care and client handling in some circumstances
- Preferred experience will include:

- Previous experience in rehabilitation; the delivery of personal care to persons with disabilities; with direct support in a community based setting; with direct support for people with ABI
- Valid Class G Driver’s License with a clear driving record
- Valid and current certification in First Aid and CPR
- Valid and current Certification in Non-violent Crisis Intervention (CPI)

**Student Placements**

At Dale Brain Injury Services we are fortunate to participate in a number of student placements each year. We are proud to have the opportunity to play a meaningful role in their school experiences.

Students _from_ a variety of programs have completed placements at Dale Brain Injury Services. This includes but is not limited to programs such as Developmental Services Worker, Recreational Leadership and Social Work. Placements have often led to employment opportunities and students express a great deal of satisfaction with their experiences while on placement at our agency.
