Accounts Assistant

Our client is a specialist supplier in Stoke on Trent and have been in business for over 25 years. They are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their small, friendly administration team.
**Job Description**:
Working within a wider administration team of 3, duties for the Accounts Assistant will be:
- Bank reconciliations on a daily basis
- Placing orders with suppliers
- Making payments to suppliers (multi-currency)
- Sending statements to customers
- Producing monthly reports
- Month-end accounts reconciliation
- Assisting with the preparation of management reports
- Quarterly VAT returns
- Managing utilities contracts for premises
- Previous experience in a similar accounts role, in particular sales and purchase ledger and bank reconciliations
- Experience using Sage accounts software
- The ability to work well within a small team
- Excellent attention to detail
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm
**Salary**: £25,000 per annum
It is commutable from areas including: Newcastle under Lyme, Stoke on Trent, Crewe, Hanley, Trentham, Burslem, Tunstall, Talke.
