**About the role and our team**
Are you interested in a career in Data Protection? Join our team in the Office of Cyber Security and Information Assurance (OCSIA) as an Information Governance Officer
In this role you will learn how we help the Isle of Man Government protect its information and comply with their Data Protection and Freedom of Information responsibilities.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Working with the OCSIA team to help deliver an information governance programme across the Isle of Man Government
- Supporting the creation of Information Management policies, standards and guidance
- Organising training courses on Data Protection and Freedom of Information
- Producing support material (posters, flyers etc.) to engage staff and raise awareness of information management policies and procedures

**What can this role offer me?**
Training and development will be provided with the option to become qualified in both Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
You’ll also have access to our in-house learning and development centre to complete training courses to allow you to build on and develop your skills.

**Additional information**
Please note a Security Clearance check is required for this post,** **which the Department will cover the cost of for you. Please note if you have lived for more than 6 months outside of the UK in the last 5 years, you will be required to obtain a Letter of Good Standing from the appropriate authorities in the relevant locations, please read the guidance about how to obtain this letter.
A relocation package and interview expenses are not available for this role.
