The Isle of Man Information Commissioner (the Commissioner) is the independent authority responsible for upholding the information rights of the public and providing the people of the Island with a high standard of data protection regulation. The Commissioners Office is a non-departmental public body sponsored by the Cabinet Office and revenue-funded by the Treasury. The Commissioner is responsible for monitoring and enforcing data protection law, and promoting awareness among controllers and processors of their legal obligations and responsibilities in respect of processes, procedures and guidance.

We need an outstanding individual to assume this unique, high-profile and demanding role. You will be an exceptionally motivated person, highly effective and able to set and maintain a clear strategic vision. You will be skilled in delivering organisational change, communicating effectively to a range of audiences and maintaining the confidence of all stakeholders in the Isle of Man and further afield. As a dynamic leader, you will enthuse others with your genuine passion for data protection and information rights, an aptitude for developing and driving achievable strategies, a positive approach to pressure, challenge and demand, and an appetite for working at the political interface.
