Women experience homelessness in different ways to men. Reasons for homelessness as well as experiences while homeless are unique to each person, however a person’s gender and relationship to their gender impacts on their experience. Women are more likely to keep their homelessness hidden for far longer and are less easily categorised as single and homeless, their relationship to motherhood affecting their experience of being homeless.

The service is designed to provide short-term accommodation and support to women, many of whom may be going through periods of crisis. The service stives to be highly flexible and provide high quality accommodation and support to individuals who urgently require those provisions at any time (365 days of the year, 24 hours per day). In partnership with external agencies, the service works alongside people to help to stabilise their situations, empower them to achieve positive outcomes and enable them to return to or move on to their own tenancy or other appropriate accommodation.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Management of Service delivery.
- Providing Line Management, Leadership and Staff Management.
- Staff Learning, Development and Performance Improvements.
- The Management of financial information and other resources.
- Ensuring Health and safety standards are met.
- The Evaluation, Evolution and Development of Services.
- Personal/Professional Development of staff.

**Essential experience, knowledge and skills**:

- Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
- Good IT skills.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines, while multi-tasking and managing competing priorities.
- Pleasant telephone manner, and

**Salary**: £26,250.00 per year
