MLCSU Personalised Healthcare Commissioning are looking for a B4 Commissioning Support Officer to join our established administration team.

There will be times when you are the first person of contact for MLCSU so you will need to have a confident and approachable manner, ensuring the MLCSU’s core values are at the heart of your working practice.

If you are customer focused with a positive “can do” attitude, have experience of working in a healthcare setting and can demonstrate advanced administration skills and experience, we would love to hear from you.

Dealing with a variety of communications from patients/carers/ stakeholders/staff, we require an experienced communicator who can work on their own initiative to help troubleshoot problems, escalating issues appropriately and in a timely manner when they cannot be resolved first-hand.

You should have a working knowledge of Information Governance/DPA and FOI requests, ensuring MLCSU’s working policies and practices are always adhered to.

Provide specialist administration support to the CSU, in particular this will include:

- Manage the data input onto the patient information database, working in conjunction with administrative and clinical members of the PHC function.
- Collate data from the patient information database in a report format as required by management or CCGs, ensuring data validity.
- Coordinate the funding request process for the PHC function, ensuring all invoices and patient information is received within relevant time frames and assisting the team throughout the decision-making process as required
- Provide administrative support to Case Co-Ordinator’s such as taking enquiries
- handling post and escalating any issues in a timely manner, ensuring all confidential communications are distributed appropriately
- Support the CSU in communicating and engaging with family members and stakeholders. This will include taking telephone calls for the department and using initiative to deal with phone calls and messages.
- Deal with queries and issues within area of expertise, referring issues to other PHC staff as appropriate
- Facilitate team reporting capabilities in conjunction with management by collecting information on relevant team projects
- Assist in commissioning packages of care based on provider lists and commissioned services. This could include contacting external agencies investigating their costs and capabilities for care provision
- Facilitate good working relationships with CCG representatives and other support staff; both within the CSU and other organisations as required
- Participate in objective setting and regular 1:1 meeting with line manager and attend all CSU mandatory training and other training relevant to role
- Provide a professional, efficient and comprehensive administrative and support service to the team, including photocopying, mail distribution and template letter generation. This will include managing electronic diaries for the department including arrangements and prioritization
- Arrange meetings for the team as requested ensuring all resources required for the meeting are in place. This may include minute taking and facilitating the meeting through provision of supporting information as required, this will include off site working
