We have an exciting opportunity for a Tenancy Support Advisor on a **9 month FTC **to provide new or existing customers with housing related support to enable them to maintain their independence and sustain their tenancy_,_ and to provide money management support and sign posting services directly to our customers to maximise income and increase financial inclusion.

Freebridge Community Housing is the largest provider of housing in West Norfolk, set up in 2006 to receive the transfer of homes from the Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk. Today, we own and manage around 7,000 homes across West Norfolk, making a difference to thousands of customers within communities across an area of almost 550 square miles. We have an annual turnover of £30m and employ well over 200 people, including our own Property Services team. Over the last 14 years, there have been numerous achievements, not least delivering our tenants' promises and bringing homes to the Decent Homes Standard, affording our customers a much better quality of living.

**Please note this is a 9 month FTC.**

**Requirements**:

- Provide a customer focused support service, both face to face, in the office and in customers' homes, and over the phone, focusing on income maximisation, basic debt and welfare advice, and the identification and addressing of support needs to sustain tenancies
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive directory of local & national support networks and organisations relevant to the primary support needs of money and debt advice, mental health, physical disabilities, learning difficulties and welfare benefits, ensuring appropriate and timely referrals are made for customers where specialist support is required
- Work closely with colleagues to provide comprehensive support for new customers in setting up home, taking ownership for managing the furniture voucher scheme
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with key money advice charities to provide a comprehensive service for customers, facilitating appropriate referrals to specialist money advice services when the need for direct advice and assistance with debt solutions is identified
- Work closely with a range of colleagues across the business, including the Benefits Advisor and Energy Advisor to assist customers to understand their household budget and to identify ways to minimise expenditure, maximise income and increase savings

**Knowledge and Experience**
- Proven experience within a customer service environment working for a housing provider or other public service organisation, including face-to-face interaction with customers
- Understanding of the role and scope of Social Housing providers, and access to these services.
- Experience of paid employment or voluntary work in a support capacity
- Knowledge of the range of agencies involved in supporting vulnerable customers
- Minimum of 5 GCSE passes including English & Maths (A-C grades
