Sanctuary (Crisis Café) Support Worker

Mind in Enfield and Barnet is a fast-growing charity in North London providing much needed therapy, wellbeing support and advocacy services to people with mental health problems.
The Sanctuary (Crisis Café) is a service for all residents experiencing emotional distress. The café runs during the evening on Monday to Fridays and during the afternoon on Saturday and Sunday. We provide initial support meetings both face to face and via the telephone, working with clients to resolve immediate distress, and explore coping mechanisms. We then co-produce support plans with clients and offer 121’s, counselling, peer support groups and workshops as well as a social place to be.
The support worker will be experienced in working with people in distress or who have mental health issues, highly organised and have excellent people skills.
Please see job description attached. We currently have a number of vacancies across our Enfield and Barnet offices/locations. We request commiting to a minimum of two shifts per week, between the hours of 4:30-10pm (dependant on location).
