**About the Role**

This role is critical in supporting the financial health and operations of the company. Reporting into the Head of Finance you will work alongside another Purchase Ledger Assistant and will be equally responsible for maintaining accurate records of all supplier transactions, ensuring that all invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Data entry of invoices
- Post and reconcile company credit and Fuel card.
- Supplier statement reconciliations.
- Process and pay expense claims.
- Direct debit match to invoicing.
- Liaise with facilities to manage Utilities / Car Tax / Council Tax.
- Support with bank reconciliations.
- Support input of payment runs.
- Support preparation of payment runs.
- Supplier management: Maintain and update supplier records.
- Assist Supply Chain with the completion of supplier credit forms/checks.
- Provide cover for other members of the Finance team as necessary.
- Query Resolution: Handle queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding invoice and payment issues.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial transactions are compliant with internal policies and relevant regulations.
- Ad Hoc Duties: Perform other finance-related tasks and support the finance team as required

**About You**

**Qualifications**:Education: A-levels or equivalent; relevant finance or accounting qualifications (e.g., AAT) preferred.

**Skills**:
**_ Essential_**
- Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g. Xero).
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and financial record-keeping.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with suppliers and internal teams.
- Ability to identify and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies efficiently.
- Collaborative attitude with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

**Personal Attributes**:

- Must be a British Citizen or must have an existing right to work in the UK and have been a UK resident for 5 years.
- Ability to hold UK security clearance
