**We have an amazing new pportunity for a Buyer, at Iceland Seafood UK at our site in Grimsby and its a great time to join us.**

We are a respected industry leading supplier of North Atlantic seafood & a leading service provider in our markets. We are a key processor of high-quality seafood in the Spanish and UK markets and we are one of the largest exporters of fish products from Iceland.

**Working shifts - Monday to Friday 40hrs**

The role will entail:

- Collaborate with managers to ensure continuity of supply of all necessary raw materials in line with the broader sales and production forecasts.
- Maintain supplier on-boarding and performance assessment procedures to audit standards ensuring continuous improvements to service levels and commercial terms for the business.
- Ensure systems are maintained to reflect agreements and purchases made - communicating any un-forecasted changes with the wider business
- Collaborate with internal departments to support with departmental needs; including product sourcing, pricing, technical data, bid support and new product development.
- Manage inbound supply chain from forecasting to delivery
- Work with Technical & Production colleagues & other key stakeholders to resolve any day-to-day challenges which may arise
- Maintain appropriate stock levels - managed at SKU level, taking in to account lead time & seasonality
- Identify opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change or development.
- Adhere to and promote a business wide quality culture awareness
- Good level of education and be proficient in MS Office packages
- Experience within the Seafood industry is a necessity
- Experience dealing with international markets/customers would be hugely desirable
- Having excellent knowledge of market and industry developments is desirable
- Be aware of food safety and retail audit standards

You should:

- Ability to prioritise your workload
- Have an organised approach and good attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, including influencing and negotiation skills
- Be flexible and adaptable and able to work with initiative
- Having a driving licence would be desirable
