Category Executive

At Beiersdorf UK, we invest time into developing our own leading skin care brands - Nivea, Eucerin, and Elastoplast - to ensure we continue to provide our customers with the products they need to live a happier, fuller life.
As our Category Executive you will work across some of our key customers and provide them with insight and recommendations to drive their Category growth. You’ll need to have strong analytical skills in order to turn data into insight, an ability to summarise and simplify complexity, as well as being a confident and engaging story-teller. You will support the wider category team with priority pieces of work to ensure a collated view across the function
Internally, you will feed insight back into the business to drive our decision making and be an active member of relevant account forums.
You will have a natural curiosity to truly understand what is driving the performance of both the Category and Beiersdorf.
**Your Tasks**:
- Identify opportunities for Retailers to drive Category Growth. These could include:
- Ranging or Distribution Gaps
- Promotional Optimisation
- Merchandising Flow
- You will be confident using Nielsen, Kantar and other data sources to identify these opportunities.
- Highlight any risks or opportunities to Beiersdorf growth within your customers and recommend how to maximize or mitigate these.
- You will do a monthly spotlight report that is shared with the internal and external stakeholders
- You will play a key role in devising and promoting ways of working that drive our simplicity value
**Your Profile**:
- A background in Category, Marketing or Buying is advantageous
- Knowledge of FMCG market and the retailer environment with an ability to develop and build trusted relationships
- Data driven and analytical
- A keen eye for detail with a passion for identifying new opportunities through data and actionable insights
- A curious and inquisitive mind and keen to learn you will be a motivated self-starter
- Encourage a collaborative working environment where you are able to work in partnership with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to present in both an articulate and engaging way
