Can you help our dynamic communications team to increase the visibility and influence of the HRA across the health and social care research system and beyond?

Are you confident in offering strategic communications advice to colleagues and delivering a high quality and engaging communications which often help to help drive change?

We need an enthusiastic Communications Officer who has great attention to detail, to deliver external and internal communications. We’re a small but ambitious team that delivers the full communications mix, both internal and external.

You’ll be keen to use your knowledge and experience to advise on communications across the organisation and to help develop and implement plans. You’ll also respond to enquiries from the public, stakeholders and the media and support the communications managers to provide consistent and reliable communications.

You need to be able to decipher complex documents to draft stories. You’ll also deal with urgent requests such as reactive media or social media handling.

We are looking for someone with experience and a passion for high quality and inclusive communications. You will need to be able to connect with stakeholders at all levels.

We need a safe pair of hands, someone to play a key role in producing articles for internal and external publications and coordinating our digital communications.

The role is part time, the equivalent of three days, but we are happy to discuss how those hours could be worked over the week.

**Deliver digital communications including**:

- liaise with staff across the HRA to advise on use of digital channels and develop engaging and clear digital content
- coordinate and develop the HRA’s digital channels and manage content while ensuring best practice
- provide first-point-of
- contact cover for user queries relating to the HRA’s digital media channels
- monitor performance using evaluation tools including Google Analytics, for KPI and management information reporting
- coordinate key projects to improve web and intranet content.

Provide high quality communications and media advice and support including:

- responding to media queries, developing statements and facilitating sign off
- monitor, record, collate and analyse media activity
- develop and maintain effective relationships with media officers of relevant organisations.

Deliver high quality content for a range of audiences including:

- developing presentations, web and intranet content, newsletter articles and press releases
- coordinate and produce the HRA’s internal communications and support distribution of content to internal audiences
- develop external publications including HRA Latest
- advise colleagues on developing content using HRA brand guidelines.

**Support corporate communications function including**:

- develop and implement communications plans for key projects, events and activities
- support stakeholder engagement plans, leading on communications and building relationships with stakeholder communications teams.
