As a Display Planner you will work in our Space Range and Display function and be key to ensuring that we execute ‘best in town’ category planograms to support great presentation, product space allocation and ‘right first time’ retail implementation.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Create and execute maintenance of ‘best in town’ category planograms to support ‘right first time’ retail implementation, ensuring that they are updated to agreed critical path, Merchandising guidelines and Inventory rules
- Work with the Planogram Generator Planner to build planograms by providing context, reviewing and refining PG action lists
- Play a key role in developing the category micro space strategy with Buyers and NPD, making recommendations in line with our display principles, inventory rules and to drive more profitable micro space allocation.
- Analyse product and store inventory data to determine the best attribution of micro space, to optimise operational efficiency and shelf fill
- Provide display related management information such as shelf efficiency, product ‘look and feel’, ease of shop, customer blocking, and provide recommendations for potential enhancements to provide oversight of the product end to end
- Understand and support the Supply Chain by providing the team with range distributions changes and cost to fills within the Critical Path timeframes
- Play a key role in managing the display strategy with Buyers and NPD, making recommendations in line with display principles, as well as defining product attributes.
- Conduct M&S and competitor store visits regularly to review implementation of displays, gain store feedback and to identify potential improvements and opportunities
Key Skills
- Food category and customer knowledge to ensure focussed displays Ability to make recommendations for change based on both internal data and market trends
- Excellent analysis and problem solving skills - identifying trends and developing strategies to capitalise
- Detailed knowledge of the Space Range and Display processes and critical paths
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Microsoft Excel and Power BI
- Food Analytics Query Tool (Business Objects)
- Experience with Blue Yonder (formerly JDA) Suite Including - Space Planning, Assortment Optimisation, Intactix Knowledge Database and Planogram Generator
