- ** Course Administrator **to work on site at one of our departments starting ASAP for approx 8 weeks working 36.5 hrs p/h and paying £15.24 p/h.- Duties:
- Undertake all course administrative functions for the whole life-cycle of the course which has been allocated.
- Take the lead and be responsible for all administrative aspects of the admissions process, ensuring that you adhere to the required timescales, University Policies and updating relevant University databases as required.
- Support members of the academic administration team to enable the smooth running of the examination process. Duties may include processing and distributing submitted assignments, co-ordination of marks for examiners, and assisting the course director and the chair of examiners.
- Be the principal point of contact for all enquiries about the relevant course/programme(s), ensuring timely responses seeking advice and guidance from the appropriate person as necessary.
- Prepare, maintain and update copy for the website and Canvas working with the appropriate person and suggest and implement improvements and changes as required.
- Manage the record-keeping and filing system for the courses and admissions, ensuring that you adhering to local practices, University policies and GDPR regulations.
- Support colleagues within the academic administration team as an when required to ensure that all courses within the department have the administrative support.
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the grading of the assignment

- 14482-Evidence of a high standard of written and oral communication, with ability to produce work to high professional standards.- Excellent organisational skills and efficient working methods, able to manage and prioritise a number of competing tasks.
- Able to work independently, using own initiative with good judgement for assessing when advice or approval is required, demonstrating a flexible and proactive approach to work.
- Able to produce accurate work to deadlines, without close supervision and accustomed to handling large amounts of data and information and conflicting demands.
- IT proficient and capable to using a variety of software packages for a range of functions, and able to make suggestion and improvements to current provision.
- Effective interpersonal skills at all levels and able to communicate confidently and appropriately with an extensive range of people both internally and externally to the department and University.
- Readiness to work closely with the wider team of administrators and to deputise for some aspects of that member of staff’s role.
- Ability to follow, maintain and develop administrative systems and processes, including developing a good operational understanding of the relevant procedures and ability to explain these to a wide range of audiences.
- Willingness to help the wider academic administration to ensure that all courses run smoothly whilst ensuring that all work has a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
