We are looking for an experienced Medical Secretary/Patient Pathway Co-Ordinator to join our busy Rheumatology Department at the QEQM. This role involves working alongside a team of medical secretaries to provide a comprehensive service to the Rheumatology Consultants and Rheumatology Specialist Nurses. We require a team worker with a good sense of humour and great organisational skills who is able to manage and prioritise their work accordingly.

Work in a team based secretarial service to support each other and ensure continuity of service.

Act as a point of liasion for patients, GPs, staff and outside agencies.

To co-ordinate the patient journey by ensuring a proactive comprehensive administration process which revolves around the patient and their individual needs.

Ensure a smooth process and compliance to National Cancer waiting time standards, national RTT compliance standard, diagnostic standards and any internal targets.

Ensure correct data capture and quality to support the care group in maximising the potential target and financial performance.
