The Vertex Group of companies are dynamic and quickly growing, with a portfolio which includes premium restaurants and bars, sought-after Airbnb properties and prime commercial real estate. We are scaling rapidly and are in search of another Accounts Assistant to support our growing finance team.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager this role will be responsible for some core financial tasks as well as supporting the wider team with their workload and projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Proactively control utilities tracker to include monitoring and reporting on all changes, ensuring all invoices and payments are correct.
- Managing our cashflow system ‘Float’ to track cash and to report on scenario plans.
- Use of Xero for invoicing and bank reconciliations.
- Contact and relationship building with suppliers, and review of statements.

**About You**:

- Experience as an Accounts Assistant or a similar role is essential.
- Experience with Xero accounting software. Training can be given if other platforms are currently used.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
- Data entry skills with an exceptional attention to detail and for finishing tasks fully.
- Super organised, able to plan and prioritise, but also ready to dive in when its ‘all hands on deck’ and understand the importance of collective efforts.
- Plenty of common sense, to analyse and identify errors or inconsistencies in the data.
