**Trainee/Assistant Estimator - Carnforth, Lancashire**

The role of a Trainee/Assistant Estimator would be to work alongside the estimating team to obtain understanding and knowledge of how estimates are prepared, documentation that forms a tender enquiry, how projects costs are built through to final tender submission. This role will be based in our Carnforth office.

There will be opportunity to develop and progress within the business and become an integral part of the estimating team.

Personal Attributes:

- Good analytical and mathematical ability
- A high level of IT proficiency
- Strong communication skills
- Time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks
- Willingness to learn and an enthusiasm to develop and progress

The role will require you to:

- Gain a full understanding of the tender process and tender documentation.
- Understand project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and materials required
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Review and evaluate proposals from subcontractors and suppliers
- Maintain records of all estimate related documentation

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Education**:

- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Estimating: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
