The Future Skills NOW project brings together North Norfolk District Council and Norfolk County Council in partnership to drive workforce training and employee upskilling opportunities across North Norfolk. Future Skills Now will support North Norfolk businesses to map the skills needs of their workforce and identifying their skills and training requirements in the short, medium and longer term.

The project will deliver an approach that works closely with business owners in identifying workforce skills requirements, address barriers to employee training, establish future employment and promotional opportunities and working with businesses to co-develop effective methods to access and invest in workforce training activity.

The **Future Skills NOW Business Skills Coordinator **will the focal point for the delivery of the Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF) Future Skills NOW project, delivered across North Norfolk through the lead body Norfolk County Council on behalf of North Norfolk District Council. The Business Skills Coordinator will:
Engage and develop effective relationships with Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) employers to identify and access workforce training and apprenticeship opportunity.
- Assist employers to identifying skills and recruitment requirements in line with business growth aims.
- Instigating, developing and maintaining partnership working arrangements, ideally with employers.
- Working within a project-based environment delivering outputs and outcomes to a defined timescale
- Using and updating databases and spreadsheets
- Working in the public sector
- Supporting partnership events
- The range and complexity of issues facing Local Government

The role is based at North Norfolk District Council, Cromer with the option of hybrid home working and working from County Hall in Norwich.
